Our factories

From sustainable sourcing to ethical production, we care about how our products are made from beginning to end, that’s why we make sure to be involved fully throughout the entire process and chose carefully who we collaborate with.

Our partners not only share our commitment towards continuous investment in the development of innovative more sustainable practices within the fashion industry, but also ensure ethical treatment within their structures, taking care of everyone involved.

Our manufacturing partners are located in the North of Portugal, specialized in high quality; small batch certified productions and highly committed to lowering the carbon footprint of all the brands they collaborate with, ensuring that the whole supply chain is sourced locally and proper certifications are made available.

We are also committed to have a representative from OVER RULE following the production process at all times.

TENCEL™ Lyocell

TENCEL™ Lyocell is an environmentally friendly certified fiber made from wood pulp. TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers are derived from responsibly managed forests, using a closed-loop production process that minimizes waste and environmental impact. Renowned for their exceptional softness and breathability, these premium quality fibers are perfect for people with sensitive skin and compared to virgin cotton can use up to 50% less water in its production. It’s made to last and is resistant to picking up smells, meaning you’ll have to wash it less, which is great for you and the planet. These innovative fibers will deliver an unmatched fit and feel, so you can enjoy your clothing pieces for many years to come.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose

Viscose is a semi-synthetic fibre that’s made from trees, and is the third most commonly used textile in the world! More than 150 million trees are logged each year to turn into cellulosic fabric which is why we only use sustainably sourced wood pulp with maximum supply chain transparency. Our viscose is certified by EU Ecolabel, which certifies its sustainability and lower environmental impact from raw-materials sourcing to production and distribution. The manufacturing of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres we use generates up to 50% lower emissions and water impact compared to generic Viscose.

TENCEL™, LENZING™ and ECOVERO™ are trademarks of Lenzing AG.

Recycled polyester

Recycled polyester is generally made by breaking down used plastic by melting it and spinning it into polyester yarn.

The benefits of recycled polyester are huge. It reduces our reliance on virgin petroleum as a raw material, as well as reducing CO2 emissions and minimizing the use of water and energy compared to regular polyester - It uses 59% less energy and reduces CO2 emissions by 32% compared to regular polyester production.

Interesting fact: Recycled polyester can be recycled over and over again without losing its quality.

Our Packaging

Our boxes are made of 100% recycled FSC certified cardboard. Interesting fact: recycled cardboard generates about 37% less CO2 to manufacture than virgin cardboard, it doesn’t require any trees to be felled and produces 49% less wastewater in the process!

The FSC or Forest Stewardship Council certifies that the cardboard is sourced from a forest and supply chain that is managed responsibly and sustainably.

Our boxes are made to be as durable as possible to encourage recycling and reusing. So be creative!

Don't forget to share your re-using tips with us on

Plantable hangtag

Did you know that our hang-tag is plantable?

Each tag is filled with seasonal seeds, which means you can get a different plant with each tag you grow.

Just plant your biodegradable tag in humid soil and watch it grow! Whether it’s an herb, flower or spice, we can assure you it will bring life into your days.

We understand this is not a mandatory detail, although this is an initiative we started to encourage people to start having more sustainable habits.

Lead by example, plant and share!

Giving Back
Animal shelter program

OVER RULE was founded with the ultimate goal to create a positive impact on you and our planet.

Through you we want to ensure that we are making a difference with every garment sold.

As a slow fashion brand this is part of our promise and core values.

DID YOU KNOW that in Portugal alone on average 30,000 animals are abandoned per year?

Dog rescuing has always been a close cause to our founder, so it was just natural to use OVER RULE's giving back program towards local Animal shelters and our in-house rescue program.

To date we have fully adopted 4 dogs:

Mellow, Mel, Buba and Lindo.

1 ORDER = 1 RESCUE ANIMAL DONATION

Through you we are fortunate to have the power to have a positive impact on these little ones and hundreds more that live in the shelters.
